Then a mighty angel picked up a stone like a huge millstone and hurled it into the sea, saying: "With violence like this, Babylon the great city will be hurled to ruin, and it will never be found again.

saying: Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls! for in one hour, so great riches have been brought to ruin.

Again they cried-- 'Hallelujah!' And the smoke from her ruins rises for ever and ever.

O heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets, triumph at her ruin, since God hath avenged you on her.

Because TRUE and righteous are his judgments, because he has judged the great whore who ruined the earth by her fornication, and he has avenged the blood of his bondmen from her hand.
