And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the Heavenly.

And I will come to you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia; for I pass through Macedonia:

But concerning Apollos, the brother, I besought him much to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his will to come now; but he will come, when he shall have opportunity.

Who delivered us out of so great a death, and will still deliver: on Whom we have set our hope, that He will also still deliver;

And in this confidence I was purposing before to come to you, that ye might have a second favor;

Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are helpers of your joy; for by faith ye have been standing.

And I wrote this very thing, that I might not, when I came, have sorrow from those of whom I ought to have joy; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

For out of much tribulation and anguish of heart I wrote to you, through many tears; not that ye should be made sorry, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly toward you.

And to whom ye forgive anything, I forgive also; for what I also have forgiven??f I have forgiven anything??or your sakes have I forgiven it in the person of Christ;

I have had no relief in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother; but, bidding them adieu, I went forth into Macedonia.

And such confidence have we through Christ toward God:

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness may be of God, and not from ourselves;

For we know that, if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.

Knowing, therefore, the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but to God we have been made manifest, and I hope that we have been made manifest also in your consciences.

We are not again commending ourselves to you, but giving you occasion of glorying on our behalf, that ye may have something suited to those who glory in appearance, and not in heart.

Wherefore, we henceforth know no one according to the flesh; even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now no longer do we know Him thus.

Wherefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, they have become new.

Become not unequally yoked with unbelievers; for what fellowship have righteousness and lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?

I say it not with the view to your condemnation; for I have said before that ye are in our hearts to die together and to live together.

For this cause, we have been consoled; but, in our consolation, we rejoice the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.

For, if in anything I have gloried to him on your behalf, I was not made ashamed; but, as we spake all things to you in truth, so also our glorying before Titus was found to be truth.

I rejoice, that in everything I have good courage concerning you.

And now complete the doing also; that, as there was a readiness to will, so also there may be the completion out of what ye have;

thrice I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; thrice I suffered shipwreck; a night and a day I have spent in the deep;

I have become foolish; ye compelled me; for I ought to be commended by you; for in nothing was I inferior to the most eminent apostles, even if I am nothing.

Did I gain advantage over you through any one of those whom I have sent to you?

lest, when I come again, my God should humble me before you, and I should mourn for many of those who have heretofore sinned, and repented not of the uncleanness, and fornication and lasciviousness which they practiced.

I have said beforehand, and I do say beforehand, as if present at the second time, and, being now absent, I write to those who heretofore have sinned, and to all the rest; that, if I come again, I will not spare;

As we have said before, even now also I say again, if any one is delivering a Gospel to you, contrary to that which ye received, let him be accursed.

and that was because of the false brethren secretly introduced, who, indeed, crept in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage;

I have been crucified with Christ; and no longer am I living, but Christ is living in me; and, in so far as I am now living in flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me.

Is the law, then, against the promises of God? It could not be! For, if a law had been given, which was able to make alive, truly righteousness would have been by law;

I am afraid of you, lest by any means I have toiled for you in vain.

Where, then, is your benedictions for me? For I bear you witness that, if possible, plucking out your eyes, ye would have given them to me!

So, then, have I become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

I have confidence toward you in the Lord, that ye will regard nothing else; but he who is troubling you shall bear his sentence, whosoever he may be.

But let each one prove his own work, and then will he have ground of glorying in respect to himself alone, and not to another.

So, then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, but especially to those of the household of the faith.

in Whom we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace,

even when we were dead in our offenses, made us alive with Christ (by grace ye have been saved),

For by grace ye have been saved through faith: and this, not of yourselves, it is the gift of God:

because through Him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

in Whom we have boldness and access with confidence through the faith of Him.

Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands that which is good, that he may have to impart to him that has need.

and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;

even as it is right for me to think this in behalf of you all; because ye have me in your heart, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Gospel, all of you being partakers with me of the grace.

Now I wish you to know, brethren, that the things relating to me have resulted rather in the furtherance of the Gospel;

Have this mind in you, which was also in Christ Jesus;

For I have no one like-minded, who, indeed, will sincerely care for your interests;

For, in fact, he was sick, near to death; but God had mercy on him, and not on him only, but on me also, that I might not have sorrow upon sorrow.

For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in flesh:

though I might have confidence even in flesh; if any other man supposes that he has occasion for confidence in flesh, I more:

Not that I already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I am pressing on, if I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I do not account myself to have laid hold of it; but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and reaching forth to the things before.

Brethren, become imitators together of me, and mark those who so walk, as ye have us as an example.

I both know how to be humbled, and I know how to abound: in everything, and in all things, I have learned both to be well fed, and to be hungry, both to abound, and to be in want.

But I have all, and abound; I have been filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, an odor of sweet smell, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.

having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have toward all the saints,

in Whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins;

because in Him were all things created, in the heavens, and upon the earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers??ll things have been created through Him, and for Him;

and He is before all things, and in Him all things have held together.

For I wish you to know how great a conflict I am having for you, and those in Laodicea, and as many as have not seen my face in flesh;

and ye have been made complete in Him, Who is the Head of all principality and power;

(bearing with one another, and freely forgiving one another, if any one have a complaint against any; even as the Lord freely forgave you, so also do ye):

Masters, render justice and equity to your servants, knowing that ye also have a Master in Heaven.

at the same time praying for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ (because of which I have also become bound),

For from you has sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith toward God has gone forth; so that we have no need to speak anything;

but even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, Who proveth our hearts.

But, Timothy having just now come to us from you, and having brought us good tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have good remembrance of us at all times, longing to see us, as we also to see you??7 for this reason, brethren, we were comforted over you, in all our tribulation and distress, through your faith;

But concerning brotherly love, ye have no need that one write to you; for ye yourselves are taught by God to love one another;

that ye walk becomingly towards those without, and that ye may have need of nothing.

But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those falling asleep, that ye sorrow not even as the rest who have no hope;

But, concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that aught be written to you;

and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men; for not all have the faith.

And we have become confident in the Lord regarding you, that ye both do, and will do, the things which we command.

not because we have not authority, but that we might give ourselves as a model to you, that ye might imitate us.

I have thanks for Him Who empowered me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He accounted me faithful, putting me into His service,

But I permit not a woman to teach, nor to have dominion over a man, but to be in quietness.

And it is needful also that he have an honorable testimony from those without, lest he fall into reproach and a snare of the Devil.

forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods, which God created for reception with thanksgiving by those who believe and have full knowledge of the truth.

Suggesting these things to the brethren, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished in the words of the faith and of the good teaching which you have strictly followed;

For to this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, Who is Savior of all men, especially of believers.

Those who sin reprove before all, that the rest also may have fear.

for nothing have we brought into the world, neither can we carry anything out;

Charge those who are rich in this present age, not to be high-minded, nor to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, Who giveth us richly all things for enjoyment;

I thank God, Whom I serve from my forefathers, in a pure conscience, that I have an unceasing remembrance of you in my supplications night and day;

having a remembrance of the unfeigned faith which is in you; which, indeed, dwelt first in your grand-mother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and, I have become persuaded, in you also.

For which cause I am suffering also these things; but I am not ashamed; for I know Whom I have believed, and have become persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit unto that day.

and that, from a babe, you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith that is in Christ Jesus.

I have contended in the noble contest, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith;

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will recompense to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

To the pure all things are pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience have become defiled.

Faithful is the saying, and concerning these things I will that you affirm confidently, that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

When I shall send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, give diligence to come to me to Nicopolis; for there I have decided to winter.

hearing of your love and the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;

For I had much joy and consolation on account of your love, because the tender affections of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

For, perhaps, he departed for a season for this reason, that you might have him back forever;

Yea, brother, I would have joy of you in the Lord! refresh my tender affections in Christ.

For to whom of the angels said He at any time, "You are My Son; I this day have begotten you?" And again, "I will be to him a Father; and He shall be to me a Son?"

Since, therefore, the children have partaken of blood and flesh, He Himself also in like manner took part of the same; that, through death, He might bring to nought him who had the power of death, that is, the Devil;
