The expert in the law said to him, "That is true, Teacher; you are right to say that he is one, and there is no one else besides him.

"Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that all these things are about to take place?"

For nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines. These are but the beginning of birth pains.

But he denied it again. A short time later the bystanders again said to Peter, "You must be one of them, because you are also a Galilean."

Then he began to curse, and he swore with an oath, "I do not know this man you are talking about!"

So Pilate asked him again, "Have you nothing to say? See how many charges they are bringing against you!"

But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been raised! He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.

She exclaimed with a loud voice, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child in your womb!
