What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.

Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.

Let him who is on the housetop not go down into the house, nor enter to take anything out of his house.

Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the housetops.

On that day, let him who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away. And likewise let him who is in the field not turn back.
