But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and spoke forth to them, Men of Judaea, and all ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give heed to my words:

So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.

let them take care to see Paul mounted, and convoy him safe to governour Felix.

And on the next day they let the horsemen go on with him, [and] they returned to the barracks.

And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

But Julius let himself be persuaded by the pilot and by the owner rather than by Paul's arguments;

And when the south wind came softly, being of the opinion that their purpose might be effected, they let the ship go and went sailing down the side of Crete, very near to the land.

which having taken up, they were using helps, undergirding the ship, and fearing lest they may fall on the quicksand, having let down the mast -- so were borne on.

And on the third day, they let all the sailing apparatus go over the side.

And they let down the lead, and saw that the sea was a hundred and twenty feet deep; and after a little time they did it again and it was ninety feet.

And fearing lest haply we should be cast ashore on rocky ground, they let go four anchors from the stern, and wished for the day.

And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship,

And when the people saw it hanging on his hand, they said to one another, Without doubt this man has put someone to death, and though he has got safely away from the sea, God will not let him go on living.

And when we came into Rome, they let Paul have a house for himself and the armed man who kept watch over him.

Who, when they had examined me, would have let me go, because there was no cause of death in me.

We think it only right to let you tell your own story; but as regards this sect, we are well aware that there are objections to it on all hands."

And disagreeing with one another, they were let go, Paul saying one word: Well did the Holy Spirit speak through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,

For this people's minds have become stupid, and their ears can barely hear, and they have shut their eyes so that they may never see with their eyes, and listen with their ears, and understand with their heart and turn and let me heal them."'

Therefore let it be known to you that [this message of] the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they indeed will listen!”
