Brothers, let me use an example from everyday life. Once an agreement has been ratified, no one can cancel it or add conditions to it.

the law, then, is against the promises of God? -- let it not be! for if a law was given that was able to make alive, truly by law there would have been the righteousness,

Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you at all!

And I testify again to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.
