Having found a young ass, Jesus seated himself on it, in accordance with the passage of Scripture--

so that the passage is fulfilled that is written in their law, "they hated me without a cause."

In addition, another passage of Scripture says, "They will look on the one whom they pierced."

For they did not then understand the passage of Scripture which says that Jesus must rise again from the dead.
