But the Jews, seeing the crowds, were filled with envy, and contradicted the things said by Paul, contradicting and speaking injuriously.

But the Jews excited the women of the upper classes who were worshippers, and the first people of the city, and raised a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and cast them out of their coasts.

And the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews and some with the apostles.

And being arrived at Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly, and the apostles, and the elders, and related all that God had wrought with them.

And some of those who were of the sect of the Pharisees, who believed, rose up from among them, saying that they ought to circumcise them and enjoin them to keep the law of Moses.

And the apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.

And having passed some time there, they were let go in peace from the brethren to those who sent them.

And when they heard that, they were baptised to the name of the Lord Jesus.
