So they asked him, "How were your eyes opened?"

(His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that anyone who confessed him to be Christ should be excommunicated.

(The high priests and the Pharisees had given orders that they were to be informed, if anyone found out where he was, so that they might arrest him.)

Now the people who were with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead, testified to it;

Simon Peter, Thomas (who was called 'the Twin'), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the two sons of Zebedaeus, and two other disciples of his, were all together.

while the rest of the disciples came ashore in the punt (they were not far from land, only about a hundred yards), dragging their netful of fish.

Truly, truly I tell you, you put on your own girdle and went wherever you wanted, when you were young; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands for someone to gird you, and you will be taken where you have no wish to go"
