When the Lord smelled the pleasing aroma, He said to Himself, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, even though man’s inclination is evil from his youth. And I will never again strike down every living thing as I have done.

The heart is more deceitful than anything else and desperately sick-who can understand it? I, the Lord, examine the mind, I test the heart to give to each according to his way, according to what his actions deserve.

because if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knows all things. Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn [us] we have confidence before God, and can receive whatever we ask from Him because we keep His commands and do what is pleasing in His sight.
