Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.

Therefore, behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify; and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city;

"Now after a long time the lord of those servants came, and reconciled accounts with them.


but he who didn't know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whoever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.

"It happened when he had come back again, having received the kingdom, that he commanded these servants, to whom he had given the money, to be called to him, that he might know what they had gained by conducting business.


They think it is strange that you don't run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming: who will give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.



I command you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his Kingdom:






But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.



Forasmuch then as Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries. read more.
