Comfort » The duty of administering
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are idle, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
Comfort you, comfort you my people, says your God.
But he that prophesies speaks unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
For you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
So that instead you ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with too much sorrow.
Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Therefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.

Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. So that instead you ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with too much sorrow. Therefore I beseech you that you would confirm your love toward him.
