2 Timothy 4:1

I solemnly charge you in the sight (presence) of God, and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom:

2 Timothy 4:2

preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.

2 Timothy 4:3

For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine. Having their ears tickled, they will accumulate teachers who follow after their own lusts.

2 Timothy 4:4

They will turn their ears away from the truth, and turn aside to myths (fiction).

2 Timothy 4:5

Be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist (preacher of the good news), and fulfill your ministry.

2 Timothy 4:6

I am already being offered (poured out as an offering), and the time of my departure has come.

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight! I have finished the course! I have kept the faith!

2 Timothy 4:8

The crown of righteousness is laid up for me. The Lord, the righteous judge, will give it to me at that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing (manifestation).

2 Timothy 4:9

Do your best to come to me shortly.

2 Timothy 4:10

For Demas forsook me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica. Crescens went to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.

2 Timothy 4:11

Only Luke is with me. Take Mark with you, for he is useful to me for ministering.

2 Timothy 4:12

I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.

2 Timothy 4:13

When you come, bring the books, parchments, and the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus.

2 Timothy 4:14

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: God will render to him according to his works.

2 Timothy 4:15

You should also beware of him, for he intensely opposed our words.

2 Timothy 4:16

At first no one defended me. They all abandoned me. May it not be counted against them.

2 Timothy 4:17

But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the people of the nations might hear. I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion (Satan the Devil) (great danger) (1 Peter 5:8) (Psalm 22:21) (1 Thessalonians 2:18).

2 Timothy 4:18

The Lord will deliver me from every evil work. He will save me to his heavenly kingdom. To him is the glory forever and ever. Amen.

2 Timothy 4:19

Greet Prisca and Aquila and the house of Onesiphorus.

2 Timothy 4:20

Erastus remained at Corinth, but I left Trophimus at Miletus sick.

2 Timothy 4:21
