And for Aaron's sons you shall make coats, and you shall make for them belts, and turbans shall you make for them, for glory and for beauty.

And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with belts, and put caps upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.

And you shall bring his sons, and put coats upon them.

And they made coats of fine linen of woven work for Aaron, and for his sons,

And you shall bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:

So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.


Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.

And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with skillful work. It shall have its two shoulder pieces joined at their two edges; and so it shall be joined together. And the skillfully woven band of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same workmanship, according to its work; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. read more.
And you shall take two onyx stones, and engrave on them the names of the children of Israel: Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth. With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shall you engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: you shall make them to be set in settings of gold. And you shall put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial. And you shall make settings of gold; And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of braided work shall you make them, and fasten the braided chains to the settings.

And you shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue. And there shall be a hole in the top of it, in the midst of it: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of a garment, that it does not tear. And beneath upon the hem of it you shall make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem of it; and bells of gold between them round about: read more.

And you shall make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shall put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate. And the other two ends of the two braided chains you shall fasten to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod in the front. And you shall make two rings of gold, and you shall put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in its edge, which is in the inside of the ephod. And two other rings of gold you shall make, and shall put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the front of it, right at the seam, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod. And they shall bind the breastplate by its rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate not come loose from the ephod. And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goes in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.


And he made the ephod of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen. And they did hammer the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, and in the purple, and in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, with skillful work. They made shoulder pieces for it, to join it together: by the two edges was it joined together. read more.

It was foursquare; they made the breastplate double: a span was the length of it, and a span the breadth of it, being doubled. And they set in it four rows of stones: the first row was a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this was the first row. And the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond. And the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst. And the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper: they were enclosed in settings of gold in their mountings. And the stones were according to the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet, every one with its name, according to the twelve tribes. And they made upon the breastplate chains at the ends, of braided work of pure gold. And they made two settings of gold, and two gold rings; and put the two rings in the two ends of the breastplate. And they put the two braided chains of gold in the two rings on the ends of the breastplate. And the two ends of the two braided chains they fastened to the two settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod, in the front. And they made two rings of gold, and put them on the two ends of the breastplate, in its edge, which was on the inside of the ephod. And they made two other golden rings, and put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the front of it, right at the seam, above the skillfully woven band of the ephod. And they did bind the breastplate by its rings unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it might be above the skillfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastplate might not come loose from the ephod; as the LORD commanded Moses. And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue. And there was a hole in the top of the robe, as the hole of a garment, with a band round about the hole, that it should not tear. And they made upon the hems of the robe pomegranates of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen. And they made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates on the hem of the robe, round about between the pomegranates; A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, round about the hem of the robe to minister in; as the LORD commanded Moses.


And the king said to Doeg, Turn you, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.


But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.


And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.


And the skillfully woven band of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same workmanship, according to its work; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the LORD commanded Moses.


For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
