And passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alpheus sitting at the custom-house, and saith to him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him. And as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples; for there were many, and they followed him.

And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom, and said to him, Follow me. And leaving all, he rose up and followed him. And Levi made him a great entertainment, in his own house; and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.

Again I say to you, That if two of you shall agree on earth, touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.

But when we had finished these days, we departed and went our way; and they all attended us out of the city, with their wives and children: and kneeling down on the sea-shore we prayed.

And having said these things, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

And when they were come in, they went up into the upper-room, where both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Jude the brother of James tarried. These all continued unanimously in prayer and supplication with the women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and his brethren.


And having considered, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John surnamed Mark, where many were gathered together praying.

And when they were come in, they went up into the upper-room, where both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Jude the brother of James tarried. These all continued unanimously in prayer and supplication with the women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and his brethren.
