and suddenly there came out of Heaven a sound, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven;

and, when this sound was heard, the multitude came together, and were greatly surprised, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.

Cretans, and Arabians??e hear them speaking in our own languages the wonderful works of God?"

And they were all amazed, and perplexed, saying one to another, "What does this mean?"

yea, and on My servants and on My handmaidens in those days will I pour out of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

And I will show wonders in the heaven above, and signs upon the earth beneath??lood, and fire, and vapor of smoke.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come.

Therefore, my heart was glad, and my tongue greatly rejoiced; moreover my flesh also shall abide in hope:

because Thou wilt not leave My soul behind unto Hades; neither wilt Thou give Thy Holy One to see corruption.

Thou didst make known to Me the ways of life; Thou wilt make Me full of gladness with Thy presence.'

"Brethren! It is permitted to speak to you freely concerning the patriarch David, that he both died, and was buried; and his tomb is among us till this day;

"This Jesus God raised up; of which fact we all are witnesses.

Being, therefore, exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He was pouring forth this which ye both see and hear.

For David did not ascend into Heaven; but he himself says, 'The Lord said to my Lord, sit at My right hand,

till I make Thy foes a footstool for Thy feet.'

"Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God made Him both Lord and Christ??his Jesus Whom ye crucified."

And, hearing this, they were pricked in the heart, and said to Peter, and the rest of the apostles, "Brethren! what shall we do?"

And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be immersed each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, unto remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit;

and they were constantly attending the teaching of the apostles and the fellowship, and the breaking of bread, and the prayers.

And all who believed were together, and were holding all things common;

and they were selling their possessions and goods, and were distributing them to all, according as any one had need.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at their homes, were partaking of food in gladness and singleness of heart;

praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to them daily those who were being saved.
