And Jehovah your God will put all these curses on your enemies, and on those that hate you, who persecuted you.

God shall hear and answer them, even He who is enthroned of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they do not fear God.

For behold, I will shake My hand over them, and they shall be a prize for their servants. And you shall know that Jehovah of Hosts has sent me.



But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly they shall be wounded. So they shall be confounded; their tongue falls on themselves; everyone seeing them shall flee. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall in wisdom think of His doing.

I have cut off the nations; their towers are ruined. I made their streets waste, so that none passes by; their cities are laid waste, without a man, there being no inhabitant. I said, Surely you will fear Me; you will receive instruction; then her dwelling shall not be cut off, all that I appointed for her. But they rose early, corrupting all their doings.

But with many of them God was not well pleased, for they were scattered in the wilderness. And these things were our examples, that we should not be lusters after evil, as they also lusted. Nor should we be idolaters, even as some of them, as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play." read more.
Nor let us commit fornication, as some of them fornicated, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted Him and were destroyed by serpents. Nor murmur as some of them also murmured and were destroyed by the destroyer. And all these things happened to them as examples; and it is written for our warning on whom the ends of the world have come.

And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, He condemned them with an overthrow, setting an example to men intending to live ungodly.


Therefore His people return here, and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.


therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.

standing afar off for fear of her torment, saying, Woe! Woe to the great city, Babylon, that strong city! For in one hour your judgment came.


But as for you and your servants, I know that you will not yet fear Jehovah God.

For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them, nor do they seek Jehovah of Hosts.

In vain I have stricken your sons; they received no correction. Your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

I struck you with blight and with mildew, and with hail, in all the labors of your hands; yet you did not turn to Me, says Jehovah.


Trouble and pain shall terrify him; they shall overpower him, as a king ready for the battle;

How have they been brought into grief, as in a moment! They are fully eaten up with terrors,

Wail, O Heshbon; Ai is spoiled! Cry, daughters of Rabbah; clothe yourselves with sackcloth, mourn, and run to and fro by the hedges! For their king shall go into exile; his priests and his rulers together.

Behold, I will bring a fear on you, says the Lord Jehovah of Hosts, from all those who are around you. And you shall be driven out, each man straight forward; and there shall be none to gather up the runaways.


Then My anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them. And I will hide My face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day, Have not these evils come on us because our God is not among us?

Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, though he hides it under his tongue; though he spares it and will not leave it; yea, keeps it still in his mouth; yet his food in his belly shall be turned; the gall of asps is within him. read more.
He swallows riches, but vomits it; God shall cast them out of his belly. He shall suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue shall slay him. He shall not see the rivers, the flowings of the brooks of honey and butter, giving back his gain, and he will not eat. As to the wealth of his trading, even he shall not enjoy it.



The wicked man labors in pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden for the ruthless one.

For all his days are sorrows, and his labor sadness; yea, his heart does not take rest in the night. This is also vanity.

Many days and years you shall be troubled, careless women; for the vintage shall fail, the gathering shall not come.



How often is the lamp of the wicked put out, and their trouble comes on them! He shares out pains in His anger;

Why do you cry over your crushing? Your pain is incurable, for the greatness of your iniquity; because your sins are many, I have done these things to you.


Jehovah laughs at him; for He sees that his day is coming.

I also will laugh at your trouble; I will mock when your fear comes; when your fear comes as a wasting away, and your ruin comes like a tempest when trouble and pain come upon you.


And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he will follow them. And I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his army, so that the Egyptians may know that I am Jehovah. And they did so.

And I will judge him with a plague and with blood. And I will rain on him, and on his bands, and on the many peoples with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire and brimstone. So I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself. And I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am Jehovah.


For I am going to send at this time all My plagues upon your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people, so that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth.

And in the morning watch it happened that Jehovah looked to the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the army of the Egyptians. And He took off their chariot wheels, and made them go heavily, so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel, for Jehovah fights for them against the Egyptians.


And Uzziah was angry. And he had a censer in his hand to burn incense. And while he was angry with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of Jehovah, from beside the incense altar. And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked on him. And, behold, he was leprous in his forehead! And they thrust him out from there. Yes, he himself hurried to go out also, because Jehovah had stricken him. And Uzziah the king was a leper until the day of his death, and lived in a separate house a leper. For he was cut off from the house of Jehovah. And Jotham his son was over the king's house, judging the people of the land.


Do not be afraid of sudden fear, nor of the destroying of the wicked, when it comes. For Jehovah shall be your hope, and shall keep your foot from being taken.


They would have none of my counsel; they despised all my correction, and they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own desires.


But after they had rest, they did evil again before You, and You left them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the rule over them. But they returned and cried to You, and You heard from Heaven. And many times You delivered them according to Your mercies, and testified against them that You might bring them again to Your Law. But they acted proudly and did not listen to Your commandments, but sinned against Your judgments (which if a man do, he shall live in them), and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.


And Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab. And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper room in Samaria, and was sick. And he sent messengers and said to them, Go, ask of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease. But the angel of Jehovah said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise! Go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria and say to them, Is it not because no God is in Israel that you go to ask of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron? read more.
And therefore so says Jehovah, You shall not come from that bed on which you have gone up, but shall surely die. And Elijah left.


And it happened when Ahab heard these words, he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth and walked softly.


And the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your seed forever. And he went out from his presence as leprous as snow.
