Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant: But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof. In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them. But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress. Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress. Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people the same time.
And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?

And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
