He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.


Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest from God.

And he said to them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.



But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.


Though he was a Son, yet he learned obedience by the things which he suffered;

Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.





But I have greater testimony than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear testimony concerning me, that the Father hath sent me.





Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!



And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace, be still: and the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

And Jesus said to him, Friend, Why art thou come? Then they came, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.



And said, Verily I say to you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.




And whoever shall give to drink to one of these little ones, a cup of cold water only, in the name of a disciple, verily, I say to you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.


But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like to children sitting in the markets, and calling to their fellows,




And Jesus called a little child to him, and set him in the midst of them,






But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said to them, Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.


So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him, Yes, Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my lambs.


Verily, verily, I say to you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to my Father.




Whoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.




When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again to a mountain himself alone.




Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,








My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distill as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

If thou shalt put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou wilt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished by the words of faith and of good doctrine, to which thou hast attained.


But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:




For the vile person will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry; and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

Then they understood that he did not caution them against the leaven of bread, but against the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.


And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle-bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace to the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.


Princes shall come out of Egypt; Cush shall soon stretch out her hands to God.

Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob to the ends of the earth. Selah.

God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Yes, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.




And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth on the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

Thou hast made him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not made subject to him. But now we see not yet all things subjected to him.


And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.




For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!



As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.



Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.

For thus hath the Lord said to me, Within a year, according to the years of a hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:

Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that on which they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,

As they were increased, so they sinned against me: therefore will I change their glory into shame.

There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is destroyed: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is laid waste.



Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.


And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount, in the eyes of the children of Israel.

So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.









Therefore I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.


For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath built the house, hath more honor than the house.





And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.








But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.



Jesus answered and said to her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldst have asked him, and he would have given thee living water.



But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one many are dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded to many.




Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and give it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?


And the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaketh to his friend. And he turned again into the camp; but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: why then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

And there arose not a prophet afterwards in Israel like to Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,


And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;



My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.






Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath held me up and thy gentleness hath made me great.


By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained testimony that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.




Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves a pattern to you to follow us.








The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.







And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief:



Verily I say to you, There are some standing here, who shall not taste death, till they shall see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth;








Then said Jesus to him, Put up again thy sword into its place: for all they that take the sword, shall perish by the sword.

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:





And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they who see not, may see; and that they who see, may be made blind.



I am come to send fire on the earth, and what will I, if it is already kindled?


And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

Pilate therefore said to him, Art thou a King then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a King. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.


I will raise up to them a prophet from among their brethren, like thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

For Moses truly said to the fathers, A Prophet will the Lord your God raise up to you, of your brethren, like me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatever he shall say to you.

For I have given to them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

I have many things to say, and to judge of you: but he that sent me, is true: and I speak to the world those things which I have heard from him.

For I have not spoken from myself; but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.


He that loveth me not, keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but that of the Father who sent me.





Ye are they who have continued with me in my temptations.





And when he had come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?


In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.



And king Herod heard of him (for his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John the Baptist had risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him.

Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

Then he began to upbraid the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they repented not.

And when he had come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

And when the sabbath was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given to him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

And when he had come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice, for all the mighty works that they had seen.

But I have greater testimony than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear testimony concerning me, that the Father hath sent me.

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I did in my Father's name, they testify concerning me.



For he put on righteousness as a breast-plate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.
