You shall make judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.

He set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city,


"'You shall do no injustice in judgment: you shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness.

You shall make judges and officers in all your gates, which the LORD your God gives you, according to your tribes; and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment. You shall not wrest justice: you shall not respect persons; neither shall you take a bribe; for a bribe does blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.


then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out to the elders of his city, and to the gate of his place;

Hamor and Shechem, his son, came to the gate of their city, and talked with the men of their city, saying,

These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates,
