Deuteronomy 16:1 (show verse)
Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover to Jehovah your God. It was in the month of Abib that Jehovah your God brought you out of Egypt by night.
Deuteronomy 16:2 (show verse)
Sacrifice the Passover to Jehovah your God from the flock and the herd, in the place where Jehovah chooses to establish his name.
Deuteronomy 16:3 (show verse)
Do not eat leavened bread with it. Eat unleavened bread for seven days. It is the bread of affliction. You should remember all the days of your life the day when you came out of the land of Egypt in haste.
Deuteronomy 16:4 (show verse)
No leaven should be seen with you in all your territory for seven days. None of the flesh you sacrifice on the evening of the first day shall remain overnight until morning.
Deuteronomy 16:5 (show verse)
You are not allowed to sacrifice the Passover in any of your towns Jehovah your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 16:6 (show verse)
It must be at the place where Jehovah your God chooses to establish his name. Sacrifice the Passover in the evening at sunset, at the time that you came out of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 16:7 (show verse)
Cook and eat it in the place Jehovah your God chooses. In the morning you are to return to your tents.
Deuteronomy 16:8 (show verse)
Eat unleavened bread for six days. On the seventh day there shall be a solemn assembly to Jehovah your God. Do not do work on it.
Deuteronomy 16:9 (show verse)
You shall count seven weeks for yourself. Count off seven weeks from the beginning of your grain harvest.
Deuteronomy 16:10 (show verse)
Then celebrate the Festival of Weeks to Jehovah your God. Bring a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings Jehovah your God has given you.

Deuteronomy 16:11 (show verse)
Enjoy yourselves in the presence of Jehovah your God along with your sons, daughters, male and female slaves, the Levites who live in your cities, the foreigners, orphans, and widows who live among you. Enjoy yourselves at the place Jehovah your God will choose as a dwelling for his name.

Gather the grain from your threshing floor and make your wine. Then celebrate the Festival of Booths for seven days.

Deuteronomy 16:15 (show verse)
For seven days you will celebrate this festival dedicated to Jehovah your God in the place he will choose. You will enjoy yourselves, because Jehovah your God will bless all your harvest and all your work.
Deuteronomy 16:16 (show verse)
Three times a year all your men must come into the presence of Jehovah your God at the place he will choose. At the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Booths. But no one may come into the presence of Jehovah without an offering.

Every man shall give, as he is able; according to the blessing Jehovah your God has given you.

Only strive for justice so you will live and take possession of the land that Jehovah your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 16:21 (show verse)
When you build the altar for Jehovah your God, never plant beside it any tree dedicated to the goddess Asherah.

Never set up a sacred stone. These are things Jehovah your God hates.
