therefore the anger of Yahweh was kindled against this land, to bring on it all the curse that is written in this book;
Yahweh saw [it], and abhorred [them], because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters. He said, "I will hide my face from them. I will see what their end shall be; for they are a very perverse generation, children in whom is no faithfulness.

It shall happen that as all the good things have come on you of which Yahweh your God spoke to you, so Yahweh will bring on you all the evil things, until he has destroyed you from off this good land which Yahweh your God has given you, when you disobey the covenant of Yahweh your God, which he commanded you, and go and serve other gods, and bow down yourselves to them. You therefore, beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware, lest being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.

The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.
You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.
Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.
