And the Lord answered him, and said, "Hypocrites! does not each one of you, on the sabbath, loose his ox or his ass from the stall; and, leading it away, water it? And was it not right that this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan bound, lo, eighteen years, should have been loosed from this bond on the day of the sabbath?" And, when He said these things, all those opposing Him were being put to shame, and all the multitude were rejoicing because of all the glorious things which were being done by Him.

The man went away, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who made him well. And, on this account, the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because He was doing these things on the sabbath. But He answered them, "My Father worketh even until now, and I work." read more.
