And forasmuch as it is the portion of men once to die, and after this judgment;
For since by man came death, by man also resurrection of those that are dead. For as in the Adam all die, thus also in the Christ all shall be made alive.
Shall mortal man be more just than +God? Shall a man be purer than his Maker?
The wise man's eyes are in his head, and the fool walketh in darkness; but I myself also perceived that one event happeneth to them all. And I said in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool so will it happen even to me; and why was I then so wise? Then I said in my heart that this also is vanity.

And again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.
For there is a man whose labour hath been with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with skill, and who leaveth it to a man that hath not laboured therein, to be his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.
And I said in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool so will it happen even to me; and why was I then so wise? Then I said in my heart that this also is vanity.
