Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not revoke its sentence; because they ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border.
They lay hold of bow and spear; they are cruel, and will not shew mercy; their voice roareth like the sea, and they ride upon horses set in array like a man for the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
They have ravished the women in Zion, the maids in the cities of Judah. Princes were hanged up by their hand; the faces of elders were not honoured. The young men have borne the mill, and the youths have stumbled under the wood.
