Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
And thou shall put the mercy-seat above upon the ark. And in the ark thou shall put the testimony that I shall give thee.
And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy-seat above upon the ark.

And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy-seat above upon the ark.
And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even the ten commandments. And he wrote them upon two tablets of stone.
And the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved upon the tablets.
Thou shall have no other gods before me. Thou shall not make to thee a graven image, nor any likeness [of anything] that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Therefore LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long in the land which LORD thy God gives thee. Thou shall not murder. Thou shall not commit adultery. Thou shall not steal. Thou shall not bear FALSE witness against thy neighbor. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's house. Thou shall not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.

And thou shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.

Tabernacle » The most holy place
And thou shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in there within the veil the ark of the testimony. And the veil shall separate to you between the holy place and the most holy. And thou shall put the mercy-seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place. And thou shall set the table outside the veil, and the candlestick opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south. And thou shall put the table on the north side.
And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy-seat above upon the ark. And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony, as LORD commanded Moses.
And behind the second curtain, the tabernacle called the Holy of holies, having a golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid entirely in gold, in which was a golden pot holding the manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant. And above it were cherubim of glory overshadowing the place of forgiveness, about which things it is not now to speak in detail.
But into the second part, the high priest alone, once a year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people, this signifying from the Holy Spirit, the way into the holy things is not yet to be made known while the first tabernacle still remains.
