Exodus 9:1 (show verse)

Then LORD said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus says LORD, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exodus 9:2 (show verse)

For if thou refuse to let them go, and will still hold them,

Exodus 9:3 (show verse)

behold, the hand of LORD is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the donkeys, upon the camels, upon the herds, and upon the flocks--a very grievous pestilence.

Exodus 9:4 (show verse)

And LORD shall make a distinction between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt, and there shall nothing die of all that belongs to the sons of Israel.

Exodus 9:5 (show verse)

And LORD appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow LORD shall do this thing in the land.

Exodus 9:6 (show verse)

And LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died, but of the cattle of the sons of Israel not one died.

Exodus 9:7 (show verse)

And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he did not let the people go.

Exodus 9:8 (show verse)

And LORD said to Moses and to Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

Exodus 9:9 (show verse)

And it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with sores upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

Exodus 9:10 (show verse)

And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh, and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven, and it became a boil breaking forth with sores upon man and upon beast.

Exodus 9:11 (show verse)

And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils were upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

Exodus 9:12 (show verse)

And LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he did not hearken to them, as LORD had spoken to Moses.

Exodus 9:13 (show verse)

And LORD said to Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him, Thus says LORD, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

Exodus 9:14 (show verse)

For this time I will send all my plagues upon thy heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, that thou may know that there is none like me in all the earth.

Exodus 9:15 (show verse)

For now I have put forth my hand, and smitten thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou have been cut off from the earth.

Exodus 9:16 (show verse)

But indeed for this cause I have raised thee up, to display in thee my power, and that my name may be proclaimed in all the earth.

Exodus 9:17 (show verse)

As yet thou exalt thyself against my people, that thou will not let them go?

Exodus 9:18 (show verse)

Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.

Exodus 9:19 (show verse)

Now therefore send, hasten in thy cattle and all that thou have in the field, [for] every man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

Exodus 9:20 (show verse)

He who feared the word of LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses.

Exodus 9:21 (show verse)

And he who did not regard the word of LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

Exodus 9:22 (show verse)

And LORD said to Moses, Stretch forth thy hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

Exodus 9:23 (show verse)

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven, and LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the earth, and LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

Exodus 9:24 (show verse)

So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

Exodus 9:25 (show verse)

And throughout all the land of Egypt the hail smote all that was in the field, both man and beast, and the hail smote every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.

Exodus 9:26 (show verse)

Only in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel were, was there no hail.

Exodus 9:27 (show verse)

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time. LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Exodus 9:28 (show verse)

Entreat LORD, for there has been enough of [these] mighty thunderings and hail, and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

Exodus 9:29 (show verse)

And Moses said to him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to LORD. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail, that thou may know that the earth is LORD's.

Exodus 9:30 (show verse)

But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear LORD God.

Exodus 9:31 (show verse)

And the flax and the barley were smitten, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.

Exodus 9:32 (show verse)

But the wheat and the rye were not smitten, for they were not grown up.

Exodus 9:33 (show verse)

And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to LORD, and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

Exodus 9:34 (show verse)

And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

Exodus 9:35 (show verse)

And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the sons of Israel go, as LORD had spoken by Moses.
