And a reed like a rod was given unto me: saying, Arise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and those worshiping in it.

And the one speaking with me, had a measure, a golden reed, that he might measure the city, and its gates, and its wall. And the city lies foursquare, and its length is as great as the breadth. And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs; and the length, and the breadth, and the height of it are equal.
