For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ like a garment.
Having been buried with Him in baptism, you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, the apostles, and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them. But some of the believers from the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, "It is necessary to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses!" After there had been much debate, Peter stood up and said to them: "Brothers, you are aware that in the early days God made a choice among you, that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the gospel message and believe. Why, then, are you now testing God by putting on the disciples' necks a yoke that neither our forefathers nor we have been able to bear? Then the whole assembly fell silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul describing all the signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

What should we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin if it were not for the law. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ like a garment.
Having been buried with Him in baptism, you were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
