And he put them together into custody three days. And Joseph said to them the third day, Do this and live. I fear God. If you are honest, let one of your brothers be bound in the house of your prison. You go carry grain for the famine of your houses. But bring your youngest brother to me, and let your words be confirmed, be proved true, and you shall not die. And they did so.

And he asked them as to their welfare, and said, Is your father well, the old man of whom you spoke? Is he still alive? And they answered, Your servant, our father, is in good health.
