And I will extend my hand over Judah and over all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place and the name of their religious persons with their priests and those that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops and those that worship swearing by the LORD and by their king and those that have turned back from following the LORD and those that did not seek the LORD, nor enquired about him.

not forsaking our gathering together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another and so much the more, when ye see that day approaching. He that despised the law of Moses died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much greater punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden underfoot the Son of God and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know who he is that has said, Vengeance belongs to me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

But we are not of those who draw back unto perdition, but faithful unto the saving of the soul.


Certainly, if having separated themselves from the contaminations of the world, by the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they again entangle themselves therein and are overcome, their latter end is made worse for them than the beginnings. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it has happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog returns unto his own vomit, and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

And when he was departed from there, he went into their synagogue;

And they entered into Capernaum, and straightway on the sabbath days he entered into the synagogue and taught.

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and stood up to read.



But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and sat down.

And when he was departed from there, he went into their synagogue;

And they entered into Capernaum, and straightway on the sabbath days he entered into the synagogue and taught.

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up; and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and stood up to read.













For, behold, the day comes that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble; and the day that comes shall burn them up, said the LORD of the hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.


And the angels who did not keep their first estate but left their own habitation, he has reserved in eternal chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.


for the great day of his wrath is come, and who shall be able to stand before him?




and the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for many are his camps and strong, that execute his word; for the day of the LORD is great, and very terrible; and who can abide it?
