And he called his name Noah, saying, This one shall comfort us concerning our work and concerning the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Jehovah has cursed.
Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.
And when Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister, and said to Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.
Lo, children are an inheritance from Jehovah, and the fruit of the womb a reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man that hath filled his quiver with them. They shall not be ashamed when they speak with enemies in the gate.
Exult, thou barren, that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and shout for joy, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith Jehovah.
Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad!

And he drove out the nations before them, and allotted them for an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.
And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the labour of the peoples:
And gave their land for an inheritance, for his loving-kindness endureth for ever, An inheritance unto Israel his servant, for his loving-kindness endureth for ever:

Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thy habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes. For thou shalt spread abroad on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall possess nations, and they shall make desolate cities to be inhabited.
