But He knew their thoughts and told the man with the paralyzed hand, “Get up and stand here.” So he got up and stood there.
And He told them: “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly admired by people is revolting in God’s sight.
and because He did not need anyone to testify about man; for He Himself knew what was in man.
And God, who knows the heart, testified to them by giving the Holy Spirit, just as He also did to us.

and the Lord is the tester of hearts.
Instead, just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please men, but rather God, who examines our hearts.

Let him hear an outcry in the morning and a war cry at noontime because he didn't kill me in the womb so that my mother might have been my grave, her womb eternally pregnant. Why did I come out of the womb to see [only] struggle and sorrow, to end my life in shame?
