In that day the branch of LORD shall be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land shall be excellent and comely for those who have escaped from Israel.
And there shall come forth a shoot out of the stock of Jesse. And a branch out of his roots shall bear fruit.
Behold, the days come, says LORD, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
In those days, and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David, and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that is mute before its shearers, so he opened not his mouth. In his humiliation his justice was taken away. And as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke [was due]? And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death. Although he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased LORD to bruise him. He has put him to grief. When thou shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed. He shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of LORD shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied. By the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors.
