But now they that are younger than I hold me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock. Who pick mallows by the bushes, and juniper roots for their food. They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;) To dwell in the clefts of the valleys, in caves of the earth, and in the rocks. Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were gathered together. They were children of fools, yea, children of base men: they were viler than the earth. Will you speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him? Will you accept his person? will you contend for God? Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocks another, do you so mock him? He will surely reprove you, if you do secretly show partiality. Shall not his excellence make you afraid? and his dread fall upon you? Your proverbs are like unto ashes, your defenses are defenses of clay. Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what will.

Then Job answered and said, I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are you all. Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldens you that you answer? read more.
I also could speak as you do: if your soul were in my soul's place, I could heap up words against you, and shake my head at you.

Are there not mockers with me? and does not my eye continue in their provocation?
