Agriculture » Fruits blasted because of sin
For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield an ephah."
It will happen in that day that every place where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silver shekels, shall be for briers and thorns.
They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns; they have put themselves to pain, and profit nothing: and you shall be ashamed of your fruits, because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
The field is laid waste. The land mourns, for the grain is destroyed, The new wine has dried up, and the oil languishes. Be confounded, you farmers. Wail, you vineyard keepers; for the wheat and for the barley; for the harvest of the field has perished.
