And Jesus said,]] "For judgment I have come into this world, so that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind!"
"Do not think that I have come to destroy the law or the prophets. I have not come to destroy [them] but to fulfill [them].
But he said to them, "It is necessary [for] me to proclaim the good news [of] the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this [purpose].
"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish that it had been kindled already!
For God did not send his Son into the world in order that he should judge the world, but in order that the world should be saved through him.
And if anyone hears my words and does not observe [them], I will not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world.
Then Pilate said to him, "So then you are a king!" Jesus replied, "You say that I am a king. For this [reason] I was born, and for this reason I have come into the world: in order that I can testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice."

And they will never follow a stranger, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers." All those who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep do not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and will go out and will find pasture. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. "I am the good shepherd, and I know my [own], and my [own] know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have other sheep which are not from this fold. I must bring these also, and they will hear my voice, and they will become one flock--one shepherd. Because of this the Father loves me, because I lay down my life so that I may take possession of it again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down {voluntarily}. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take possession of it again. This commandment I received from my Father." Again there was a division among the Jews because of these words. And many of them were saying, "He has a demon and is out of his mind! Why do you listen to him?" Others were saying, "These are not the words of one who is possessed by a demon! A demon is not able to open the eyes of the blind, [is it]?"

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. The one who comes to me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in me will never be thirsty again.
but these [things] are recorded in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that [by] believing you may have life in his name.
But if Christ [is] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin, but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.
So also you, consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks at the Son and believes in him would have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."
and do not present your members to sin [as] instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your members to God [as] instruments of righteousness.
Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him,
Truly, truly I say to you that the one who hears my word and who believes the one who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. You have heard that I said to you, 'I am going away, and I am coming to you.' If you loved me, you would have rejoiced that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I [am]. And now I have told you before [it] happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. I will no longer speak much with you, for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has {no power} {over} me. But so that the world may know that I love the Father, and just as the Father has commanded me, thus I am doing. Get up, let us go from here!
