And He said, "Go away into the city to such a one, and say to him, 'The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; with you I observe the passover together with My disciples.'"

Ye call Me 'The Teacher,' and 'The Lord;' and ye say well; for so I am. If, therefore, I, 'The Lord,' and 'The Teacher,' washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet; for I gave you an example, that, as I did to you, ye also should do. Verily, verily, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor one who is sent greater than he who sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye, if ye do them.


Then one of the twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, going to the high priests, said, "What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver Him up to you?" And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he was seeking an opportunity to deliver Him up.

Then Judas, who betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, repenting, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the high priests and the elders, saying, "I sinned, having betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You may see to that." And, throwing the pieces of silver into the temple, he withdrew; and, going away, he hanged himself.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went away to the high priests, that he might deliver Him up to them. And they, hearing it, rejoiced, and promised to give him money. And he was seeking how he might conveniently deliver Him up.

And, while He is yet speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a large multitude, with swords and clubs, from the high priests and elders of the people. And he who was betraying Him gave them a sign, saying, "Whomsoever I kiss, He it is; seize Him." And immediately coming to Jesus, he said, "Hail, Rabbi!" and kissed Him. read more.
