Then he opened their mind, that they might understand the scriptures, and he said to them: Thus it is written, and thus was it necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you. But do you remain in the city of Jerusalem, till you be clothed with power from on high.
