While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them. And suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him."
And suddenly a voice out of the heavens said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased."
It is another who testifies about me. I know that the testimony which he testifies about me is true.
The Father himself, who sent me, has testified about me. You have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.
I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me."
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater; for this is God's testimony that he has testified concerning his Son.

Paul said, "John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus."
As it is written in the scroll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make ready the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight. Every valley will be filled. Every mountain and hill will be brought low. The crooked will become straight, and the rough ways smooth. All flesh will see God's salvation.'"
As it is written in Isaiah the prophet, "Look, I send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Make ready the way of the Lord. And John was clothed with camel's hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey. They came to John, and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, look, he is baptizing, and everyone is coming to him." John answered, "A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given to him from heaven. You yourselves bear me witness that I said, 'I am not the Messiah,' but, 'I have been sent before him.' For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for he does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever refuses to believe in the Son won't see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."

He said to them, "This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled." Witness » Who is a witness of the lord
