And Israel struck him with the edge of the sword and possessed his land from Arnon to Jabbok, even to the sons of Ammon. For the border of the sons of Ammon was strong.
And when you come near, across from the sons of Ammon, do not trouble them nor be stirred up against them. For I will not give you any possessions from the land of the sons of Ammon, because I have given it to the sons of Lot for a possession.
Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon and ruled from Aroer, which is on the bank of the river Arnon, and from the middle of the river, and from half Gilead, even to the river Jabbok, the border of the sons of Ammon;
and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the sons of Ammon;
And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the sons of Ammon, to Aroer, before Rabbah,
And the king of the sons of Ammon answered to the messengers of Jephthah, Because Israel took away my land when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even to Jabbok, and to Jordan. Now therefore restore those lands peaceably.

And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying, These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. And you shall take one ruler from every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance. read more.
And the names of the men are these. Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. And of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. And of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. And the ruler of the tribe of the sons of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli. The ruler of the sons of Joseph, for the tribe of the sons of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod. And the ruler of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. And the ruler of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach. And the ruler of the tribe of the sons of Issachar, Paltiel, the son of Azzan. And the ruler of the tribe of the sons of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi. And the ruler of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud. These are the ones to whom Jehovah commanded to divide the inheritance to the sons of Israel in the land of Canaan.

And, therefore, divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half tribe of Manasseh, with whom the Reubenites and the Gadites have received their inheritance which Moses gave them beyond Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them, from Aroer on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba, to Dibon; read more.
and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the sons of Ammon; and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salcah, all the kingdom of Og in Bashan (who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei; he remained of the rest of the giants), even Moses struck them and expelled them. But the sons of Israel did not put out the Geshurites and the Maachathites, but the Geshurites and the Maachathites dwell among the Israelites until this day. Only, he gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The sacrifices of Jehovah, the God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as He said to them.
