Joshua 15:1

And the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah in their kindreds was the wilderness of Zin that stretched to the coasts of Edom southward, and is the utmost part of the south coasts.

Joshua 15:2

And their south coasts were from the brink of the salt sea and from a certain point of the sea that leaneth southward.

Joshua 15:3

And it went out on the south side of the going up to Akrabbim, and went along to Zin, and ascended up on the south side of Kadesh Barnea, and went along the Hezron and went up to Addar, and set a compass to Karka,

Joshua 15:4

and went along to Azmon, and it went out to the river of Egypt: so that the end of the coast is the sea. And these are their south coasts.

Joshua 15:5

And their east coasts are the salt sea, even unto the edge of Jordan. And their borders in the north quarter were from another point of the sea where Jordan endeth.

Joshua 15:6

And went up to Bethhoglah and went along by the north side of Betharabah and went up to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.

Joshua 15:7

And then went up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, turning toward Gilgal that lieth before the going up to Adummim, which is of the south side of the River. And then went along to the water of Enshemesh, and ended at the well of Rogel.

Joshua 15:8

And then went up to the valley of the son of Hinnom, even unto the south side of the Jebusites the inhabiters of Jerusalem. And then went up to the top of the hill that lieth before the valley of Hinnom westward, and by the edge of the valley of Rephaim northward;

and then it draweth from the sand hill unto the fountain of water called Nephtoah, and goeth out at the cities of mount Ephron; and draweth to Baalah, otherwise called Kiriathjearim;

and then it compasseth from Baalah westward, unto Seir, and then goeth along unto the side of mount Jearim, otherwise called Chesalon, on the north side thereof; and cometh down to Bethshemesh and goeth to Timnah,

Joshua 15:11

and goeth out on the side of Ekron northward; And then draweth to Shikkeron and goeth along to mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel; and the end of the coasts is the sea.

Joshua 15:12

And the west borders are the great sea and the coasts that lie thereon. And these are the coasts of the children of Judah round about in their kindreds.

Joshua 15:13

And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh was there a part given among the children of Judah, by the mouth of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Kiriatharba father of Anak which city is called Hebron.

Joshua 15:14

And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the sons begotten of Anak.

Joshua 15:15

And he went up thence, to the inhabiters of Debir, whose name in the old time was Kiriathsepher.

Joshua 15:16

And Caleb said, "He that smiteth Kiriathsepher and taketh it: to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

Joshua 15:17

And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb took it. And he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.

Joshua 15:18

And as she went, she moved him to ask of her father a field. And she alighted off her ass. And Caleb said unto her, "What aileth thee?"

Joshua 15:19

And she said, "Give me a blessing: for thou hast given me a southward and dry land: give me also springs of water." Then he gave her springs of water, both above and beneath.

Joshua 15:20

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah in their kindreds.

Joshua 15:21

And the cities of the tribe of the children of Judah in all quarters, toward the coasts of Edom southward, were: Kabzeel, Eder, and Jagur;

Kinah, Dimonah, and Adadah;

Joshua 15:23

Kadesh, Hazor, and Ithnan;

Joshua 15:24

Ziph, Telem, and Bealoth;

Joshua 15:25

Hazor Hadattah, and Keriothhezron, otherwise called Hazor;

Joshua 15:26

Amam, Shema, and Moladah;

Joshua 15:27

Hazargaddah, Heshmon, and Bethpelet;

Joshua 15:28

Hazarshual, Beersheba, and Bazjothjah;

Joshua 15:29

Baalah, Iim, and Ezem;

Joshua 15:30

Eltolad, Chesil, and Hormah;

Joshua 15:31

Ziklag, Madmannah, and Sansannah;

Joshua 15:32

Lebaoth, Shilhim, Ain, and Rimmon: all these cities are twenty and nine with their villages.

And in the low country they had Eshtaol, Zorah, and Ashnah;

Zanoah, Engannim, Tappuah and Enam;

Jarmuth, Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;

Joshua 15:36

Shaaraim, Adithaim, Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities with their villages.

Zenan, Hadashah, and Migdalgad;

Joshua 15:38

Dilean, Mizpeh, and Joktheel;

Joshua 15:39

Lachish, Bozkath, and Eglon;

Joshua 15:40

Cabbon, Lahmam, and Chitlish;

Joshua 15:41

Gederoth, Bethdagon, Naamah and Makkedah: sixteen cities with their villages.

Joshua 15:42

Libnah, Ether, and Ashan;

Joshua 15:43

Iphtah, Ashnah, and Nezib;

Joshua 15:44

Keilah, Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities with their villages.

Joshua 15:45

Ekron with their towns and villages.

Joshua 15:46

And from Ekron out to the sea, all that lieth about Ashdod with their villages.

And in the wilderness they had Betharabah, Middin and Secacah;

Nibshan, the city of salt, and Engedi: Six cities with their villages.

Joshua 15:63

But the Jebusites that were the inhabiters of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not cast out. Wherefore the Jebusites dwell among the children of Judah unto this day.
