Leviticus 18:1

And the LORD talked with Moses, saying,

Leviticus 18:2

"Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, 'I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 18:3

Wherefore after the doings of the land of Egypt wherein ye dwelt, see that ye do not; neither after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I will bring you, neither walk ye in their ordinances;

Leviticus 18:4

but do after my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: for I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 18:5

Keep therefore mine ordinances, and my judgments which, if a man do, he shall live thereby: for I am the LORD.

Leviticus 18:6

"'See that ye go to none of your nighest kindred for to uncover their privities, for I am the LORD.

Leviticus 18:7

The privities of thy father and thy mother, see thou unhele not: she is thy mother, therefore shalt thou not uncover her privities.

Leviticus 18:8

The privities of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover, for they are thy father's privities.

Leviticus 18:9

Thou shalt not uncover the privities of thy sister, the daughter of thy father or of thy mother: whether she be born at home or without.

Leviticus 18:10

Thou shalt not uncover the privities of thy son's daughter or thy daughter's daughter, for that is thine own privity.

Leviticus 18:11

Thou shalt not uncover the privities of thy father's wife's daughter, which she bare to thy father, for she is thy sister: thou shalt therefore not uncover her privities.

Leviticus 18:12

Thou shalt not uncover the privities of thy father's sister, for she is thy father's next kin.

Leviticus 18:13

Thou shalt not uncover the privities of thy mother's sister, for she is thy mother's next kinswoman.

Leviticus 18:14

Thou shalt not open the privities of thy father's brother; that is, thou shalt not go in to his wife, for she is thine aunt.

Leviticus 18:15

Thou shalt not uncover the privities of thy daughter-in-law, she is thy son's wife; therefore uncover not her privities.

Leviticus 18:16

Thou shalt not unhele the privity of thy brother's wife, for that is thy brother's privity.

Leviticus 18:17

Thou shalt not uncover the privities of the wife and her daughter also; neither shalt thou take her son's daughter or her daughter's daughter to uncover their privities: they are her next kin, it were therefore wickedness.

Leviticus 18:18

Thou shalt not take a wife and her sister thereto, to vex her that thou wouldest open her privities as long as she liveth.

Leviticus 18:19

Thou shalt not go unto a woman to uncover her privity as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

Leviticus 18:20

"'Thou shalt not lie with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.

Leviticus 18:21

Thou shalt not give of thy seed to offer it unto Moloch, that thou defile not the name of thy God, for I am the LORD.

Leviticus 18:22

"'Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind, for that is abomination.

Leviticus 18:23

Thou shalt lie with no manner of beast to defile thyself therewith, neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto, for that is abomination.

Leviticus 18:24

Defile not yourselves in any of these things, for with all these things are these nations defiled which I cast out before you:

Leviticus 18:25

and the land is defiled, and I will visit the wickedness thereof upon it. And the land shall spew out her inhabiters.

Leviticus 18:26

Keep ye therefore mine ordinances and judgments, and see that ye commit none of these abominations: neither any of you nor any stranger that sojourneth among you

Leviticus 18:27

- for all these abominations have the men of the land done which were there before you, and the land is defiled -

Leviticus 18:28

lest that the land spew you out when ye have defiled it, as it spewed out the nations that were there before you.

Leviticus 18:29

For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, the same souls that commit them shall perish from among their people.

Leviticus 18:30

Therefore see that ye keep mine ordinances, that ye commit none of these abominable customs which were committed before you: that ye defile not yourselves therewith, for I am the LORD your God.'"
