On the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to the LORD. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.

They kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.

The children of Israel encamped in Gilgal. They kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho.

Surely there was not kept such a Passover from the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;

Josiah kept a Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem: and they killed the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month.

Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?"

His parents went every year to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover.

He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,


The Jewish Passover was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, after seeing his signs which he did.

He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,

He said, "Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is near. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples."'" After these things, there was a Jewish festival, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.

Jesus therefore said to Peter, "Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?"




who does not need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.

Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father."

therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sins of many, and made intercession for their transgressions.

or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished.



Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if this cannot pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done."

Jesus answered, "I told you that I AM. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,"

He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,

The Son of Man goes, even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not been born."

Or do you think that I could not ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels? How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?"

Again he went away, and prayed, saying the same words.

It came to pass, when the days were near that he should be taken up, he intently set his face to go to Jerusalem,

They answered him, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus said to them, "I AM." Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.

They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, "It is not me, is it, Lord?" He answered, "He who dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same will betray me. The Son of Man goes, even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not been born." Judas, who betrayed him, answered, "It is not me, is it, Rabbi?" He said to him, "You said it." As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." He took a cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, "All of you drink it, for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins. But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's Kingdom." When they had sung the hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

On the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the Passover, his disciples asked him, "Where do you want us to go and make ready that you may eat the Passover?" He sent two of his disciples, and said to them, "Go into the city, and there you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water. Follow him, and wherever he enters in, tell the master of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"' read more.
He will himself show you a large upper room furnished and ready. Make ready for us there." The disciples went out, and came into the city, and found things as he had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. When it was evening he came with the twelve. As they sat and were eating, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me?he who eats with me." They began to be sorrowful, and to ask him one by one, "Surely not I?" He said to them, "It is one of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish. For the Son of Man goes, even as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had not been born." As they were eating, he took bread, and when he had blessed, he broke it, and gave to them, and said, "Take; this is my body." He took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave to them. They all drank of it. He said to them, "This is my blood of the New Covenant, which is poured out for many. Truly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew in the Kingdom of God."

Make preparations there." They went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover. When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve. He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God." He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, "Take this, and share it among yourselves, for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until the Kingdom of God comes." He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me." Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the New Covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
