And her parents were exceedingly astonished: but He charged them to tell no one what was done.

And a woman who had been in a flux twelve years, and had suffered a great deal from many physicians, and spent all that she had, and received no benefit, but rather grew worse, when she heard of Jesus, came behind Him in the croud, and touched his garment; for she said, If I can but touch his clothes, I shall be cured. And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt within herself that she was healed of the disorder. And immediately Jesus, knowing in Himself that power was gone out of Him, turned about in the croud and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto Him, Thou seest the multitude crouding about thee, and dost thou ask, Who touched me? and He looked round about to see who had done it. But the woman being afraid and trembling, as knowing what had been done in her, came and prostrated herself to Him, and told Him all the truth: and He said to her, Daughter, thy faith has saved thee; go in peace, and be healed of thy disorder. And He cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, people weeping and lamenting greatly: and when He was come in, He saith unto them, Why do ye take on thus and weep? the child is not dead, but asleep. And they laughed at Him: but when He had turned them all out, He taketh the father, and the mother of the child, and those three that were with Him, and goes in where the child was laid: and taking hold of her hand, He saith unto her, Talitha, cumi, which is, being interpreted, Damsel, (I say unto thee) arise: and immediately the damsel rose up and walked; for she was twelve years old; and they were struck with great astonishment.
