And having left them, He went out of the city into Bethany, and there spent the night.

And He came into Jerusalem, into the temple; and looking round upon all things, the hour being already late, He went out into Bethany along with the twelve. And on the morrow, they going out from Bethany, He was hungry.

And when it was evening, He departed out of the city.


At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath through the cornfields; and His disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears, and eat.

And he became hungry, and wished to eat: but they getting it ready, an ecstasy came on him,


For His disciples had gone into the city, that they might purchase food.

And having fasted forty days and forty nights, He afterward hungered. And the tempter having come to Him, said; If thou art the Son of God, speak in order that these stones may become bread. And He responding said; It has been written, A man shall not live upon bread alone, but upon every word coming forth through the mouth of God.

And He ate nothing during those days; and they having been completed, He afterward hungered. And the devil said to Him, If thou art the Son of God, speak to this stone, in order that it may become bread. And Jesus responded to him, saying; It has been written, That man shall not live upon bread alone, but upon every word of God.


And having left them, He went out of the city into Bethany, and there spent the night. And in the morning going into the city, He was hungry. And seeing one fig-tree near the road, He went to it, and found nothing on it, except leaves only. And He says to it, Let no fruit ever be from thee; and immediately the fig-tree withered away. read more.
And the disciples seeing, were astonished, saying, How did the fig-tree immediately wither away? And Jesus responding said to them, Truly I say unto you, if you may have faith, and doubt not, not only shall you do that of the fig-tree, but you shall say to this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea, and it will be done. All things whatsoever you may ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.

And seeing a fig-tree at a distance, having leaves, He came, if perchance He shall find something on it: and having come to it, He found nothing except leaves; for it was not the time of the figs. And responding He said to it, Let no one ever eat fruit from thee. And His disciples heard Him.

And going along in the morning, they saw the fig-tree utterly withered from the roots. And Peter remembering says to Him, Master, behold, the fig-tree which thou didst execrate is withered away. And Jesus responding says to them, Have God's faith. read more.
Truly I say unto you, That whosoever may say to this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and may not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says does take place; it shall be unto him. Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever you pray for and ask, believe that you just now received them, and they shall be unto you.
