And [when] the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the [mother] of James, and Salome purchased fragrant spices so that they could go [and] anoint him.
And going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the [son] of Zebedee and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets, and he called them.
among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
And there were also women observing from a distance, among whom [were] Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and Joses, and Salome,

And [when they] had crucified him, they divided his clothes among themselves [by] casting lots. And they sat down [and] were watching over him there. And they put above his head the charge against him {in writing}: "This is Jesus, the king of the Jews." read more.
Then two robbers were crucified with him, one on [his] right and one on [his] left. And those who passed by reviled him, shaking their heads and saying, "The one who would destroy the temple and rebuild [it] in three days, save yourself! If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross!" In the same way also the chief priests, along with the scribes and elders, were mocking [him], saying, "He saved others; he is not able to save himself! He is the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him! He trusts in God; let him deliver him now if he wants to, because he said, 'I am the Son of God'!" And in the same [way] even the robbers who were crucified with him were reviling him. Now from the sixth hour, darkness came over all the land until the ninth hour. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?") And some of those who were standing there, [when they] heard [it], said, "This man is summoning Elijah!" And immediately one of them ran and took a sponge and filled [it] with sour wine and put [it] on a reed [and] gave [it] to him to drink. But the others said, "Leave [him] alone! let us see if Elijah is coming to save him." And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice [and] gave up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom, and the earth shook and the rocks were split. And the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. Now the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus, [when they] saw the earthquake and the things that took place, were extremely frightened, saying, "Truly this man was God's Son!" And there were many women there, observing from a distance, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, serving him, among whom were Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.

And when they came to the place that is called "The Skull," there they crucified him, and the criminals, the one on [his] right and the other on [his] left. [[But Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."]] And they cast lots to divide his clothes. And the people stood there watching, but the rulers also ridiculed [him], saying, "He saved others; let him save himself, if this [man] is the Christ of God, the Chosen One!" read more.
And the soldiers also mocked him, coming up [and] offering him sour win and saying, "If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself!" And there was also an inscription over him, "This [is] the king of the Jews." And one of the criminals who were hanged there reviled him, saying, "Are you not the Christ? Save yourself--and us!" But the other answered [and] rebuked him, saying, "Do you not even fear God, because you are undergoing the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we are receiving {what we deserve} [for] what we have done. But this man has done nothing wrong!" And he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom!" And he said to him, "Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise." And by this time it was about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour [because] [the light] of the sun failed. And the curtain of the temple was torn apart [down] the middle. And Jesus, calling out with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit!" And [after he] said this, he expired. Now [when] the centurion saw what had happened, he began to praise God, saying, "Certainly this man was righteous!" And all the crowds that had come together for this spectacle, [when they] saw the things that had happened, returned [home] beating [their] breasts. And all his acquaintances, and the women who had followed him from Galilee who saw these [things], stood at a distance.

And all the crowds that had come together for this spectacle, [when they] saw the things that had happened, returned [home] beating [their] breasts. And all his acquaintances, and the women who had followed him from Galilee who saw these [things], stood at a distance.

And Pilate also wrote a notice and placed [it] on the cross, and it was written: "Jesus the Nazarene, the king of the Jews." So many of the Jews read this notice, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city. And it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, [and] in Greek. read more.
Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, "Do not write 'The king of the Jews,' but, 'He said, I am king of the Jews.'" Pilate replied, "What I have written, I have written." Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his clothing and made four shares--for each soldier a share--and the tunic. (Now the tunic was seamless, woven from the top {in a single piece}.) So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it apart, but cast lots for it, [to see] whose it will be," so that the scripture would be fulfilled that says, "They divided my garments among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots." Thus the soldiers did these [things]. Now his mother and the sister of his mother, Mary the [wife] of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene were standing near the cross of Jesus. So Jesus, seeing [his] mother and the disciple whom he loved standing there, said to [his] mother, "Woman, behold your son!" Then he said to the disciple, "Behold your mother!" And from that hour the disciple took her into his own [home]. After this, Jesus, knowing that now at last everything was completed, in order that the scripture would be fulfilled, said, "I am thirsty." A jar full of sour wine was standing there, so [they] put a sponge full of the sour wine on a [branch of] hyssop [and] brought [it] to his mouth. Then when he had received the sour wine, Jesus said, "It is completed," and bowing [his] head, he gave up [his] spirit.

Now on the first [day] of the week, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, [while it] was still dark, and saw the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

And there were also women observing from a distance, among whom [were] Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the younger and Joses, and Salome,
But Mary stood outside at the tomb, weeping. Then, while she was weeping, she bent over to look into the tomb, and she saw two angels in white, seated one at the head and one at the feet where the body of Jesus had been lying. And they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have put him!"
