And lo! the whole city came out to meet Jesus; and when they saw him, they besought him to depart from their borders.

And when he had come out of the boat, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling in the tombs; and not even with a chain could any one bind him any longer; because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him; read more.

And seeing Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, do not torment me. read more.

And the man out of whom the demons had gone besought him that he might be with him. But he sent him away, saying, Return to thy house, and tell what great things God hath done for thee. And he went and published through the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.

because he had often been bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been snapped asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces; and no one could master him; and continually, night and day, in the tombs and in the mountains, he was crying out, and cutting himself, with stones. And they who saw it told them how it befell him that was possessed by the demons, and concerning the swine. And they began to beseech him to depart from their borders. And when he was going on board the boat, he that had been possessed by the demons besought him that be might be with him. And he did not permit him, but said to him, Go to thy house to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and that he hath had compassion on thee. And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him; and all wondered.
