And immediately the fountain of her blood dried up, and she knew in her body that she was cured of that plague. And Jesus, immediately perceiving in himself that power had gone forth from him, turned around in the multitude and said: Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said to him: Thou seest the multitude pressing upon thee, and dost thou say, Who touched me? And he looked around to see her that had done this. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing; what had been done within her. came and fell down before him; and told him all the truth. If then, God so clothes the herb of the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore, be not anxious, saying: What shall we eat? or, what shall we drink? or, with what shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be given to you in addition. Therefore, be not anxious about the morrow, for the morrow will have anxieties of its own. Sufficient for the day is its own evil.
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field how they grow: they toil not, nor do they spin. But I say to you, That Solomon, in all his glory, was not clothed like one of these.
