who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of his glorious body by means of that power by which he is able to subject all things to himself.



After these things I looked, and here was an enormous crowd that no one could count, made up of persons from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb dressed in long white robes, and with palm branches in their hands.

Then two men, Moses and Elijah, began talking with him. They appeared in glorious splendor and spoke about his departure that he was about to carry out at Jerusalem.



Then I looked, and here was the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him were one hundred and forty-four thousand, who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads.





Will I deliver them from the power of Sheol? No, I will not! Will I redeem them from death? No, I will not! O Death, bring on your plagues! O Sheol, bring on your destruction! My eyes will not show any compassion!


he will swallow up death permanently. The sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from every face, and remove his people's disgrace from all the earth. Indeed, the Lord has announced it!


Now when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the saying that is written will happen, "Death has been swallowed up in victory."














You guide me by your wise advice, and then you will lead me to a position of honor.












If you have no desire to worship the Lord, choose today whom you will worship, whether it be the gods whom your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. But I and my family will worship the Lord!"


At that hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds; then he and all his family were baptized right away.


She had a sister named Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to what he said.




Then the father realized that it was the very time Jesus had said to him, "Your son will live," and he himself believed along with his entire household.


He first found his own brother Simon and told him, "We have found the Messiah!" (which is translated Christ).


"Return to your home, and declare what God has done for you." So he went away, proclaiming throughout the whole town what Jesus had done for him.


When the days of their feasting were finished, Job would send for them and sanctify them; he would get up early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job thought, "Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." This was Job's customary practice.
